A ROYAL welcome was extended to the Princess Royal (pictured) when she visited Fylde on Tuesday.

Princess Anne met hardworking volunteers during a visit to Fylde and Blackpool.
First, she visited Pontin's, Clifton Drive North, St Annes.
The princess chatted to volunteers at the "Breaks for Carers 2008" event in her role as president of the Princess Royal Trust for Carers. She also opened the new Barton Grange Garden
Centre at Brock and met Citizens' Advice Bureau volunteers.
