FYLDE Coast Players are set to burst back on the theatrical scene with Willy Russell's hugely popular Blood Brothers – a funny, fast moving play, yet thought provoking, perceptive and ultimately tragic.
Blood Brothers' tells the tale of twin brothers, born into a poor working class family, who are separated at birth. One remains with his mother, the other is given to a rich childless couple. The play explores the differences and conflicts of their upbringing and their relationships.
Many will already have seen the musical, but this is the play – with music.
Auditions have been extremely well attended and principal roles already cast include: Sarah Jane Stone in the role of Mrs Johnson; Rosie Withers as Mrs Lyons; Tony Lancaster in the plum role of Mickey Johnson; and Derek Winward as Edward Lyons.
Rosemary Roe, for Fylde Coast Players, said: "We have a superb new director, Peter Taylor, who created quite a stir with his recent fabulous production of Jekyll and Hyde.
Blood Brothers' runs at Lowther Pavilion October 15-18, tickets £8.50/£9. To book call 01253 658666.
We apologise for last week when we incorrectly reported the Players' October play would be Love Begins at Fifty.
