ST ANNES Parish Operatic Society is to present the North West premier of the musical Hood.

Described as "the Robin Hood musical with a rock edge", the show will take place at Lowther Pavilion, Lytham, on July 12 and then from July 14 to 19.
Shows will take place nightly at 7.30pm and tickets are £11 (adults) and £10 (concessions).
Director Phil Hemming decided last year he would be interested in staging the new musical.
He said: "Struggling to find a show for the 2008 summer production, I presented the preview of Hood to the committee and believe me, it didn't take much persuasion for them to realise we could be on to a winner with this one. Go ahead, they said, and it was booked the the next day!"
He added: "This musical can offer companies like mine a chance to put into production a musical with something for everyone. Being new and different, some companies are quite reserved in their judgement about all things new.
"I can understand that – but what this musical offers is something for everyone, fantastic music with some beautiful ballads, great characters, in-depth production notes, well-produced backing tracks and of course a story line that everyone knows.
"I have never seen my cast enjoy and look forward to rehearsals so much."
