SECRET Love comes to the Lowther Pavilion next month.
It is the stage show based on the life and music of the now reclusive Sixties singer Kathy Kirby, whose amazing story has been put back in the spotlight thanks to the demand of fans world-wide.
The highest paid girl singer of the swinging sixties, Kathy had a remarkable rise to stardom and an equally remarkable fall from grace as disaster after disaster struck the star who was hailed as "the golden girl of pop" and Britain's answer to Marilyn Monroe.
An enormous world-wide fan base has stayed loyal to the singer who now lives reclusively in her London flat.
The star of the show is Suzi Jari who has already played the young Dusty Springfield on the London stage and who brings alive again the music, the drama and the poignancy of the Kathy Kirby story.
Produced and directed by Graham Smith, the show is presented by the leading show business promoted Johnny Mans Productions.
You can see the show is at Lowther Pavilion on Sunday, June 8, at 7.30pm.Tickets are £14.50 and £12.50. Ring the box office on 01253 658666.
