Here is this week's list of coming events.
Thursday
The Anonymous Players present See How They Run by Phillip King. Book early to see this ever popular fast moving farce! Lowther Pavilion at 7.30pm nightly (until Saturday). Tickets: Adults £9; concessions £8.

Friday
First meeting of a new Lytham-based group to help people coping with the loss of someone who has committed suicide, the Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide. The meeting starts at 7.30pm. For more information contact Lorraine on (01253) 738700, or go to the website www.uk-sobs.org.uk.

Ribby Hall Village in Wrea Green holds its annual fete. Local suppliers will sell gourmet food and there will be pony rides, tombola, face-painting and more.

Saturday
Local football league action commences for the 2008/09 season for both youth and adult teams.

Sunday
Epic Creative presents 'Big Girl's Don't Cry', a tribute to Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, featuring the Eastcoast Boys, at Lowther Pavilion, Lytham, starting at 7.30pm.

A celebration of sandcastles takes place on Morecambe beach, just south of the Midland Hotel. For more information call (01524) 582872.

Monday
Do you have a memory of Blackpool that could provide inspiration for a poet? John Siddique, Blackpool's Poet in Residence, wants to hear from you. He invites people to share their memories with him at Palatine Library today between 11am and 12.30pm. He is especially interested in seeing photographs or pictures of Blackpool that hold special memories for people.
Tuesday
Preston's Harris Museum and Art Gallery hosts a puppet show from 11am to noon. The performance by Preston-based Dynamic New Animation is a chance for youngsters aged four to eight to explore a range of scents with the puppets. Admission is 50p per child and booking is essential. Call (01772) 258248.
Wednesday
Duggie Chapman presents The Good Olde Days, starting at 7.30pm. Admission is adults £11; concessions £9.

Bowland Visitors' Centre at Beacon Fell will host a teddy bears' picnic from 1pm-4pm. People are invited to take along a teddy and, of course, a picnic.
