SUNNY weather helped ensure the success of Kirkham and Wesham Club Day on Saturday.
Hundreds of people lined the streets of Kirkham and Wesham for the annual club day parade.

Churches, scout groups and community associations all took part in the march from the Wesham end of the town centre to St Michael's Church before returning through the town.

The Saturday parade was followed by a civic procession on Sunday involving the town mayor Coun James Cameron and the mayor of Fylde Susan Fazackerley, followed by community events throughout the town.

Local councillor Elaine Silverwood said the pavements were packed with people and the whole weekend had a fabulous community atmosphere.

She added the fund-raising was now going to start again for next year.
