Driver charged following fatal crash

A MAN has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving following a fatal road accident in Singleton earlier this year.
Paul Coupe, 49, of Barton, near Preston, will appear before Blackpool magistrates on July 25.
He was driving a BMW in which front seat passenger Christopher Stuart, 48, of Bailrigg, Jepps Lane, Barton, died.
The accident happened at Singleton crossroads on Friday, February 1, at about 10.30pm.
The vehicle, which came off the road, was travelling along Garstang Road. No other vehicle was involved. Mr Stuart was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mr Coupe and a back seat passenger were both unhurt and climbed from the vehicle.
Mr Coupe was charged at Blackpool Police Station yesterday, Thursday, July 10.
