Proud parents Vikki Eyre and John Hoyle have had their first child - Alisha Bella Victoria - born at 11 minutes past 11, on the 11th day of the 11th month.
And it all came after a premonition from the baby's grandfather David.

Vikki's brother Daniel has a seven-year-old daughter Chloe who was also born on November 11.

And he was convinced the birth would happen on the same day, despite Vikki not being due for another 10 days!

He said: "I kept saying it would happen on this day. I just knew it. I've never been in a bookies in my life but everyone was saying that if I had put a bet on I could have taken twelve months off work."

Vikki, 33, who works with her father at their family business, lives with electrician partner John, 38, in Freckleton.

After going in to labour at 6am on November 11, she became convinced of her father's soothsaying abilities.

"I phoned him and said I want six numbers off you for the weekend," she said.

"I went into labour at about six in the morning and when it got to about ten at night I said 'we've got another hour to go'.

"Everybody just looked at me like I was mad. As it was getting closer it felt like I was dreaming and then at eleven minutes past I heard a squawk. I looked across and it was exactly eleven minutes past."

She added: "We had to miss Chloe's birthday party but she couldn't have wished for a better birthday present, She was made up because she always said there were too many boys in the family. It's certainly going to be a day to remember. She was always going to be special but now she's even more special."

Alicia was born at Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

November 11 is observed as Rememberance Day when the nation pays tribute our fallen war heroes.

Vikki said she had considered paying her own special tribute.

"I wanted to call her Poppy but it's not something we had thought about because we didn't know we were having a girl and we weren't expecting her on the 11th. She will always be Alisha but I think the famliy might know her as Poppy."
