A GOOD time was had by all – that was the verdict on this year's Wrea Green Field Day which took place on Saturday.
There was a whole host of attractions for the whole family.

They included the crowning of the rose queen Helen Bradbrook, the carnival procession, farmer's market and local crafts, fancy dress, children's races and seven-a-side football.

Field day secretary Julia Denham said the event was a success and that the attendance was up on last year, which was hit by worse weather.

"The weather in the morning was very dodgy indeed but, by the time the procession went round the first time and the crowning of the rose queen, it was fine," she said.
