IT was green for go for Michael Lomax at the Young Engineers' Regional Final at Sunderland University on July 1.
Fifth year pupil Michael represented Kirkham Grammar School and won the GCSE category for Best Design and Innovation.

Michael was up against excellent competition to win this prestigious trophy and also scooped £150 donated by Rolls Royce.

He designed and made a traffic light system that monitors classroom noise.
