Village looks forward to field day

WREA Green Field Day is to take place on Saturday, when rose queen Helen Bradbrook will be crowned, taking over from retiring queen Alice Eastham, during a day of festivities.

Attractions will include Cubbins Fair, Thornton Cleveleys Band, Red Rose Brass band, Fylde Coast Cloggers, The Hasbins Brass Band, a fancy dress show, a farmers' market and local crafts. Entertainment will include the carnival procession, including many colourful floats, from 1pm; the crowning at 1.20pm; arena entertainment from 2pm; children's and adults' sports at 3pm; children's refreshments from the local school from 3pm-4.30pm; new rose queen procession at 1.40pm; seven-a-side football at 6pm and adult sports at 7pm.
There will also be a village band concert, sponsored by Ribby with Wrea Parish Council, by North Fylde Brass Band on Sunday from 2.30pm-4pm (in the school if wet).
