A POPULAR store has scrapped its car parking charges.
From Monday the car park at Booths in Lytham was free to customers.
David Benson, retail operations director, said: “We have listened to comments from our customers, both in our store and in Stringers and have responded by introducing a maximum th
ree hour free parking limit.
“We believe that this time will be more than adequate for people to make the most of the facilities on the Haven Road site, including visiting our Artisan restaurant and Stringers Homelife store.
“We are delighted that we have been able to act on the customer feedback given to us.”
Damian Clarke, from Stringers, said: “This is a really positive move and we are delighted with the response to Homelife so far. This will help to establish the site further as a key shopping experience in Lytham.”
The pay and display machines have been removed and the monitoring of the car park will continue to be managed by Fylde Borough Council.
Any customers exceeding the three hour limit will get a penalty of up to £70.
The Lytham store, along with Stringers Homelife department store both opened in September 2007.
