A HUSBAND was today being quizzed over the murder of his wife at their Lytham home.
Stephen Green, 51, was arrested on Monday night after the body of his 57-year-old wife Carole was found by police inside the couple's East Beach apartment.

Mrs Green is believed to have been stabbed to death in what police have described as a "vicious assault".

The officer leading the investigation today told The Gazette how police became concerned for the safety of Mrs Green after being contacted by a worried friend.

Det Supt Andy Murphy said: "She appears to have been the victim of a vicious assault.

"We were contacted by a concerned friend who had not seen her for some time. She was later found dead at the apartment."
