A PUB chain which own branches throughout the Fylde coast has recorded a £133m pre-tax profit.
Punch Taverns, Britain's biggest pub operator, says the figure, which is ahead of city analysts forecasts for the chain, is "very encouraging," in light of difficult trading conditions in the industry.

The chain, which has 8,500 pubs nationally, owns popular South Shore pubs The Dunes Hotel, the Dog and Partridge and the Swift Hound, as well as Scruffy Murphys on Corporation Street.

It also has a number of branches in Wyre and Fylde, including the Golden Ball in Poulton, the Golden Eagle in Thornton, the Fleetwood Arms in Fleetwood and the Admiral in St Annes.
