LYTHAM boxer Scott Cardle is used to delivering knockouts – now he is helping Britain post a great show at London 2012.
Scott, a member of Great Britain's Olympic Games Boxing team, helped launch the second of Royal Mail's Olympic and Paralympic Games stamps at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield.

The stamps are being issued this week to mark a key milestone in the countdown – two years before the Opening Ceremony to the Olympic Games.

And for Scott, who boxes at light welterweight, it is a date firmly in his diary. The stamps also feature established Olympic and Paralympic sports such as hockey and football plus more recent addition BMX cycling.

Philip Parker, Royal Mail Stamps spokesman, said: "This series of stamps is creating a fascinating montage of the sports which make the Olympics and Paralympics one of the greatest events on the planet.

"In addition to appearing on millions of letters, the stamps also form part of a wonderful sporting collection to celebrate the 30th Olympiad."
