Challinor - saw his side fall at the final hurdle

An extra-time goal ruined AFC Fylde's chances of promotion to the National League in this play-off decider.

It had looked to be going well for the Coasters as they went in front with a first half goal by Sam Finley.

But that was cancelled out by a goal just before half-time by North Ferriby's Wayne Brooksby.

The 1-1 scoreline remained until the end of 90 minutes, so the contest moved into extra-time when Danny Hone scored the winner for the hosts to the dismay of Dave Challinor's side.
