The country’s Armed Forces minister met with community leaders and veterans after visiting two aerospace sites.
Fylde MP Mark Menzies welcomed Mark Francois MP to Warton Village Hall this week.
The minister was in the region visiting BAE Systems’ sites in Warton and Samlesbury for an update on military projects.
Mr Menzies said: “With the 100th anniversary of the First World War this year we remember more than ever how important our armed forces are for the freedom we all enjoy today.
“The Minister said he was delighted to be able to spend time in Fylde and meet some local residents and veterans.”
Mr Francois said he was “delighted” to visit the area and meet veterans.
