Former Fylde and England rugby skipper Bill Beaumont opened the two-storey building which will be the new home of the club’s Community Foundation and Academy.

Along with classroom spaces for the Foundation’s educational and health and wellbeing programmes, it houses an IT suite, function room and six seven-a-side football pitches, an 11-a-side pitch and a full-size hockey pitch already being used as one of five national centres.
