What better way to cool down in a heatwave than turn your thoughts to Christmas?

St Annes Town Council, in partnership with Lowther Pavilion, is inviting businesses in St Annes to shine as part of this year’s festive lights switch-on.

All are welcome to join in the celebrations and turn on their own festive lights to coincide with the main ceremony, which will take place on Saturday, November 23.

An open meeting is being held on Monday, July 22, at Lowther Pavilion to allow businesses and the public to find out more and put forward their own ideas.

The aim is to make the festive switch-on Light up St Annes even bigger and better than last year’s event which hundreds of people attended, as the stars of the Lowther panto performed the ceremony in The Square.

Town councillor Cheryl Little said: “We want everyone in St Annes to be involved. We welcome businesses, hoteliers, community and voluntary groups, schools and individuals, so please come along!”

The meeting at Lowther Pavilion starts at 7pm.
