Developers planning to build in a rural Fylde village will hold a meeting with residents to share plans for a future scheme.

Story Homes is to consult homeowners about plans to build up to 100 new build properties in land off Langton’s Farm, Ribby Road, Wrea Green.

The proposals could offer up to 30 affordable homes, but residents have so far resisted other schemes to develop in the area.

David Hayward, development planner for Story Homes said: “While we are aware of the objections to new homes in the village, we feel that our plans will enhance the area and provide very high quality family homes which are in keeping with the local character of Wrea Green. Story Homes’ development here would help to enhance the vitality of the local community by increasing the use of the local businesses and potentially encourage the establishment of new local services.

“Our public exhibition is an opportunity for the community to see and comment on the plans and to help shape the plans before they are submitted.”

Story Homes’ public exhibition takes place on Wednesday at the Wrea Green Institute, Wrea Green, between 2pm and 8pm.
