A Fylde clothes shop will glow brightly this month as it bids to raise awareness of a national breast cancer campaign.
Amabo Boutique, in Clifton Street, Lytham, will sell pink bracelets, hold a fashion evening and glow bright pink at night time in October to support Breast Cancer Care Awareness Month.
The shop, owned by Natalie Peters, is supporting the ‘wear it pink’ campaign as part of the month-long movement to raise awareness of the disease.
She said: “I’m very excited about wear it pink this year and can’t wait to see Amabo get involved and become pink heroes not for just one day but for the whole of October.
“This is the first time we have supported Wear It Pink and hopefully this year will be our biggest and pinkest fund-raiser yet. We have been personally touched by breast cancer this year and as a result have found that many of our customers have also been affected by this dreadful disease.”
The Autumn Fashion Launch Party, which includes champagne and gifts as well as a chance to win a £200 shopping spree, is on Sunday.
Annabel Tompkins, Wear It Pink senior manager at Breast Cancer Care said: “We are so grateful to Amabo for taking part and we hope everyone has a fantastic time and enjoys their biggest, pinkest fashion event.
“Their support will allow us to continue funding vital breast cancer research and help us get one step closer to finding a cure.”
Tickets to the fashion and fund raising event are available from Amabo Boutique or by calling (01253) 734764.
