The two politicians will be joined by a host of senior business leaders at the Brexit breakfast on April 21 at the Lowther Pavillion, in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire.

The event forms part of the annual St George’s Day Charity Festival in Lytham, which celebrates all things English, and the debate takes place two months before voters go to the polls on June 23 to decide whether the UK should leave the EU.

Farage and Karim will be joined by several senior North West business leaders including: David Haythornthwaite, owner and chairman, Tangerine Holdings; Scott Fletcher MBE, founder and chairman, ANS Group; Andy Holt, owner and founder, What More UK; David Judge, managing director, Cormar Carpets; Leanne Holmes, operations director, Crane Payment Innovations; Paul Bailey, managing director, Optimum Coatings; and Mark Blackhurst, global COO and founder of DigitalNext.

The event runs from 8am-10.15am and will be chaired by editor of BusinessCloud magazine Chris Maguire.

Mr Haythornthwaite said: “The Brexit vote is the biggest for a generation and will have huge implications for the UK, Europe and the world.

“St George’s Day Charity Festival is well established in the calendar and we decided it was the perfect platform to stage a proper debate involving politicians and businesses for and against staying in
Europe.

“There will be two panels – one in favour of staying in the EU and one against – and the audience will have the chance to hear both arguments and submit questions in advance.

“We’re delighted that Nigel Farage and Sajjad Karim have both agreed to take part and they’ll be putting forward their respective opinions.

“We think it will be a must attend event.”
