A Lytham children’s boutique has reopened after its new owner decided to take a new direction with the business.

Emma Parriss closed the high-end Little Emporium in Park Street, and has reopened as Grizzlies – named after children Grace and Izzy – a shop which stocks clothes at high street prices.

She said: “When I took over the business I realised that people just wouldn’t come in – even my family – because the prices were so high.

“You were looking at hundreds of pounds for dresses for little children and I found people just don’t want to spend that any more.

“We are now stocking brands like French Connection and Ben Sherman, priced along the likes of Next and other high street retailers, but I still have a lot of exclusive brands .

“I’ve brought the prices right down to make sure there is something for everyone’s budget.

“I’ve also got exclusive rights to sell Star Wars and Doctor Who-branded clothes in Lytham.

“And we still have brands like No Added Sugar and Catamini, which I’m selling at 10 per sent under retail price.”

The store also has a ‘pre-loved’ area for children’s designer outfits.
