Call to co-ordinate Blackpool schools holiday dates
A Blackpool councillor is calling for school holiday dates to be co-ordinated across the town.
Coun Tony Williams, leader of the Conservatives on Blackpool Council, said: “I am calling on all school heads and boards of governors in both primary and senior schools to come to an agreement to co-ordinate their holiday dates so that schools in Blackpool share the same half term and summer breaks.
“Many parents have children in different schools that in turn operate a different holiday schedule.
“This makes it even more difficult for parents to arrange holidays in what are usually the most expensive times of the year.”
