Actress Hayley Tamaddon has got behind the celebrity charity craze the After Eight Challenge.
The former Coronation Street and Emmerdale star joins presenter Vernon Kay and ex-Spice Girl Mel C in tackling the game for Kenny Dalglish’s wife’s cancer charity The Marina Dalglish Appeal.
The After Eight Challenge is a great after dinner game, especially during the festive season
Hayley can be seen on her Twitter feed trying to wriggle an After Eight chocolate from her forehead into her mouth, completing the task in less than 10 seconds and on her first attempt.
The challenge is back for 2015, after last year’s efforts included stars such as Taylor Swift, Jack Whitehall, Freddie Flintoff and the Scotland international football team getting involved to raise money for the charity.
Coleen Rooney and Jamie Redknapp were the King and Queen of Kenny’s After Eight Challenge – each smashing Kenny’s previous time of 5.44 seconds, with Jamie coming in at 3.5 seconds and Coleen undertaking it in three seconds.
At the top of the rankings so far for 2015 is Stereo Kicks’ singer Jake Sims who completed it in just one second.
Kenny Dalglish said: “The After Eight Challenge is a great after dinner game, especially during the festive season. We want to get even more people involved this year and encourage them to donate to the Marina Dalglish Appeal and support a great cause.”
Fans of the minty chocolate are being encouraged to join in by forming two teams and lining up with a box of After Eight Mints – the first person in each team pops one on their forehead and has to manoeuvre it down to their mouth without using their hands, as soon as they get it in their mouth the next person can start, and so on and so forth until the team have completed and are crowned the winner.
