A planning application for a cafe/restaurant, with a roof terrace, has been submitted to Fylde Council on behalf of Stuart and Zoe Robertson.

The Robertsons have up to now sited 25 huts of the 46 for which they already have permission - and say the ‘beach shack’ catering outlet would serve food direct to guests in their private dining huts.

Stuart said: “It’s an application for an amendment to our existing planning consent and has been submitted by my architect.

“Having already sited 25 of the overall 46 beach huts we have permission for, we thought it would be an exciting idea to build a ‘beach shack’ - a small catering outlet serving food direct to guests in their beach huts.

“As well as bolstering visitor numbers into the resort we’ve won three regional and one national tourism awards and Zoe and I are hoping our new proposals will be welcomed by Fylde Council as well as the local and wider community.”
