Lytham Community Choir is hoping it is a case of second time lucky as it shapes up to perform in the majestic setting of Lytham Hall’s grounds.
Back in May, the choir’s performance at the Hall fell victim to he weather and the event has been rearranged for Saturday, July 6.
In the meantime, the choir has performed to great acclaim at Lytham Club Day and is looking forward to its Hall bow finally going ahead.
The choir was formed last year, as an initiative of the Park View 4U community group and Cath Powell, Park View 4U’s Community Development Manager, who co-ordinates the choir, said: “The choir has been rehearsing really hard and we have some very fantastic new material.
“We are delighted with the opportunity to hold this event in the grounds of Lytham Hall, as it is a really exciting time for them too with the new plans for the re development of the grounds.”
Tickets for the concert are £3, with children free. They are available in advance from Park View 4U cafe or at the Hall gates on the evening, while tickets for the original date in May will be valid.
The event starts at 7pm, but the grounds will be open from 5.30pm to allow the audience to enjoy their picnics before the performance starts. Those attending are asked to bring their own furniture as well as picnics.
