The authority’s environment, health and housing committee will discuss the cameras at its meeting on November 1 at 6.30pm at St Annes Town Hall.

The committee has been asked to note the report and ‘acknowledge the need for a review of the use and replacement of rapid deployment cameras’, and to endorse the production of a report with recommendations for their future replacement and use.

It’s also hoped the working group, if appointed, visit the CCTV suite at Wyre Civic Centre where volunteers man the cameras.

The report also asks for investment of just more than £11,000 to integrate Lytham’s three town centre CCTV cameras into the system shared by Fylde and Wyre.
