UPDATE: Attempted murder suspect quizzed after stabbing
A 62-year-old man from Fleetwood is still in police custody this morning, where he is being quizzed by detectives.
He was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a woman was stabbed in the stomach at a ground floor flat in Hatfield Avenue, at around 3pm yesterday.
The 45-year-old was taken to Royal Preston Hospital and remains in a ‘poorly’ condition, a police spokeswoman said.
Witnesses have been asked to call police on 101, quoting log number 881 of June 8.
