A PENSIONER who persistently steals from shops in Lancashire has been banned from all Debenhams stores for a year.

Batool Bibi Shah, 70, of Kilkerran Close, Chorley, stole £144 of jewellery in Blackburn on November 2.

She received a six-week jail term, suspended for 12 months, with an £80 surcharge and £85 costs, after the bench at Preston Magistrates’ Court said she has an “appalling record for the same offence”.

She was also banned from all county Debenhams stores.
