ST ANNES paused on Friday to say goodbye to hero soldier Sgt Nigel Coupe.
Crowds lined the streets to pay their respects to the soldier who died alongside five of his comrades when their armoured vehicle was hit by a Taliban bomb in Helmand Province last month.
The funeral cortege passed through St Annes Square before a full military funeral at St Annes Parish Church.
The former Lytham St Annes High School pupil leaves behind his wife Natalie and their two children, five-year-old Ella and two-year-old Jasmine.
Report and pictures in next week’s Express.
