A sponsored walk round Fairhaven Lake raised around £1,000 for Home-Start Fylde.
Even some pet dogs joined in as more than 20 walkers, including Fylde councillors Karen Henshaw and Cheryl Little, took part and the walk is set to become an annual event.
The St Annes-based charity supports families all over Fylde and recently appealed for help with fund-raising.
Co-ordinator Pat Naylor said: “I would like to say a big thank-you to all our walkers, sponsors and volunteers for helping us with the event, and am looking forward to next year.
“I think if the weather had been a bit more kind we would have had a few more walkers.
“We are already planning next year’s event and have booked the sunshine...”
