A town councillor is asking for Wyre officials to help back the fight to secure the future of Blackpool Airport.
Fleetwood town councillor Jack Harrison is asking for Wyre Council to join work with Blackpool and Fylde councils to save the hub at Squires Gate.
He is to raise the question at a full council meeting on Thursday.
He said: “We are aware the closure of Blackpool Airport will affect the interests of our residents and areas in terms of holiday, transport, employment, commercial and other operations.
“Has Wyre Council voiced those concerns...and do you share our concerns?
“Would Wyre Council join Fleetwood Town Council in support and possible future talks in support of airlines wishing to return or begin new operations at the airport?”
