“Lytham Festival wanted something that would stand out,” said Greg. “So we brainstormed and decided we needed to incorporate Lytham’s former pier to celebrate the town’s heritage and we wanted a stream to represent the sea as well as the River Ribble.”

Former Lytham St Annes Technology and Performing Arts College student Greg, who at just 21 runs garden design business Leafy Lytham while also studying for a degree in business management, added: “It was a tremendous opportunity for me to prove my capability and to work with Lytham in Bloom to show that we could do something really exciting.”

The Lytham Festival Ticket Hub is open from Wednesdays to Saturdays from 10am to 7pm and Sundays from 10am to 4pm until the week-long festival, featuring stars such as Bryan Adams and Noel Gallagher, kicks off on August 1.

Lytham Festival director Peter Taylor said: “We are thrilled with the work Greg and Lytham in Bloom have done to create this absolutely wonderful ticket hub.

“This really is no ordinary ticket box office. It looks beautiful and I hope people view it as a lovely addition to the picturesque square while also buying their tickets to Lytham Festival’s many events this summer.”

Actor and comedian Bobby Ball was joined by Greg, Lytham in Bloom chairman Carol Wildon, Fylde Council chief executive Allan Oldfield and Lytham town crier Colin Ballard to officially open the hub during the town’s Club Day activities.
