A first family fun day at St Annes Fire Station proved a big hit and is set to return as a regular event.
Around £500 was raised for the Firefighters’ Charity as hundreds of people of all ages flocked to the station on St Andrew’s Road North to enjoy a host of attractions.
As well as family features such as a bouncy castle, the event included demonstrations of rescue and traffic accidents, while there was the opportunity to see vehicles and equipment close up.
Crew manager Steve Howard said: “It was a great success and we look forward to it becoming a regular event.
“It is most likely to be held every other year to keep it fresh and it might be held earlier when it is a little warmer, but we were delighted with the attendance and thanks to everyone who came along.”
