Blackpool and Fylde law firm Napthens has handed over more than £2,000 to local charity Aspired Futures.
Staff at the firm’s Blackpool office, at Whitehills Business Park, chose the charitable organisation to support for the last financial year.
Our staff have worked hard with a number of fund-raisers
And they have helped raise a grand total of almost £2,300 over the last 12 months through activities including a cook-off.
Staff also gave their time to support the charity with events and other fund-raising activities.
Aspired Futures offers long-term, bespoke therapeutic support packages to the most vulnerable children and young people across Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre.
It is based at the Kensington Foundation Resource Centre at the Lodge on Whitegate Drive.
It provides providing long-term, life-changing therapeutic services for the most “hard to reach” vulnerable children and young people, many of whom are from chaotic family backgrounds where poor mental health, addiction, learning difficulties, domestic violence and poor parenting/life/social skills are the norm.
Martin Long, partner at Napthens in Blackpool, said: “We’re very proud of our links with the local community and the passionate support our staff show to our chosen charities each year.
“Our staff have worked hard with a number of creative fund-raising activities, and with the support of clients and professional contacts we’ve hit a fantastic total which should really help to make a difference.”
The firm’s East Lancashire office selected the Blackburn Youth Zone, a charity it has strong ties with.
Meanwhile, in Preston, staff took part in fund-raising events including a 10k run and 100km cycle ride through London, to raise funds for the North West Air Ambulance.
In all Napthens staff raised £7,700 for their chosen charities for 2015/16.
