Pupils’ passion for pizza

PUPILS got a pizza the action when they set up an Italian restaurant at a Fylde school.
As part of a topic on food, children at Kirkham and Wesham Primary School, Nelson Street, set up the eaterie, with menus and special invites for guests.
Rita Mapple, school governor and former pupil opened the pizza takeaway.
She said: “On the day the children turned their classroom into a restaurant and made pizzas, chopping ham, pepperoni, mushrooms and pineapple and grating cheese.
“The children took on the role of waiters and waitresses and were very excited to welcome customers.
“The children greeted me at the door and made super waiters and waitresses.
“I was really impressed with the service.
“It was lovely.”
