Meeting to discuss Wesham blueprint

A PUBLIC meeting will take place later this month to discuss the Medlar-with-Wesham Parish Plan – a blueprint for the future of the area.

The plan has now been published following 12 months' work and is currently being circulated within the area.

The work has been carried out by a handful of dedicated volunteers, including and supported by members of Wesham Town Council.

The plan sets out a vision for the future of the town and parish.

It identifies the issues arising from consultation of residents and local businesses and defines a number of actions to address them.

Coun Alan Clayton of Medlar-with-Wesham Town Council, said " After the successful application for a financial grant to Community Futures we have been able to produce a parish plan to identify local concerns.

"The follow up action plan will define how each resultant action will be tackled , who will be responsible, what resources will be needed and the timescales for the activity."

The Plan will also be lodged with Fylde Borough Council, Lancashire County Council, Fylde MP Michael Jack and in many other locations.

Further information can be found at the follwing website: weshamforum.blogspot.com/2008/11/medlar-with-wesham-parish-plan.html

The public meeting will take place at Wesham Community Centre, Church Road, Wesham, on November 27.

Also on the agenda will be: Potential housing development in Wesham; Kirkham Baths; and the Fleetwood Road Skateboard Park.
