Roadworks will force a 50mph speed limit on some sections of the M55, while parts of the motorway will be closed altogether, it has been revealed.

Engineers from Highways England will be working from 8pm until 6am from Monday, November 7 to Thursday, November 17, at various points between junctions four to one eastbound and one to three westbound.

Junction four eastbound to junction three will be shut overnight from November 9 into 10, junction three will be closed to junction one from November 10 into 11, and westbound will be shut from junction one to junction three from November 16 to 17.

The eastbound junction three exit slip will be closed from November 7 to 9, the entry slip will be shut from November 8 to 9, and the M6 southbound to M55 westbound link road will closed from November 16 to 17.

Junction four at Marton Circle will also be closed overnight from Nov 28 to Wednesday 30.

Signs will be used to inform motorists, while emergency services, works, winter maintenance, and traffic officer vehicles will not be restricted, Highways England said.
