Mega Minis drive hundreds to historic hall grounds

Classic and modern cars were in the spotlight as the annual Mega Mini Meet attracted hundreds of visitors to the grounds of Lytham Hall.

The historic parkland was the destination for members of around 14 Mini clubs from all over the country while the participants even included a visitor from Switzerland.

More than 250 classic and BMW Minis were on display at the event sponsored by Lloyd Mini Blackpool – but the event wasn’t all about vehicles.

A wide range of entertainment for all the family in glorious sunshine included displays from battle skills specialists the Armourial Knights and Star Wars stormtroopers.

There was also be a farmers’ market, DJ and other live entertainment.

Marianne Blaauboer, the Hall’s activity plan officer, said: “It is always a popular annual event.”
