Phil and Corrin Green of The Pavilion in St Annes’ Ashton Gardens have already advertised for an additional chef and more jobs are set to follow as business booms.

The couple, who already employ 10 staff, are confident the trend will continue as the town centre gardens hosts an increasing array of outdoor events.

Corrin said: “When we took over The Pavilion, we knew there was a place for a cafe which had close links with the community in this brilliant location which is so popular with residents and visitors.

“But the support we have had since from customers and the community generally has really exceeded our expectations and we are recruiting to ensure we meet demand over this very exciting year.”

The Pavilion hosts regular art exhibitions and concerts and will be a central focus of July’s St Annes Music Festival and other events, including St Annes’ annual Carnival and the town’s first Children’s Festival.
