A pair of fitness fanatics will be tested to their limits as they take on a Fylde coast triathlon to raise hundreds of pounds for a local charity.
Rachael Webb, 25, of Highbury Road East, and Rebecca Tozer, 23, of Cudworth Road, both St Annes, will compete in the Fleetwood Triathlon this Sunday.
The duo, who work at Clifton Lodge Nursery in St Annes, will swim 400m, cycle 20km, then finish with a 5km run to raise money for the Ormerod Trust, a charity which supports people with learning disabilities.
Rachael said: “Earlier this year we both decided we wanted a challenge and felt a triathlon would fulfil this.
“What better way apart from keeping fit than to raise money for a local charity, which is why we decided on the Ormerod trust. We’ve both been training really hard and hope to raise lots of money.
“It’s important to raise money for the Ormerod Trust as like any charity they need additional help to assist them to help meet each individual’s full potential.”
