The Co-op local community fund raises money for selected local causes, by taking 1% from shoppers' own brand purchases and donating them directly to community groups.
Over the last 6 months, Co-op customers across Blackpool have raised £2,248.16 towards the upkeep of the park in the Solaris Centre grounds on New South Prom, with funding ending in October 2020.

Hide AdRossalyn Tindall, 68, secretary for the Friends of Solaris Park, said: "We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us through this funding in Blackpool.
"The money will help us to re-paint the park, and tidy up the green spaces and entrance.
"Hopefully we will be able to install some new perimeter benches to help the large amounts of elderly people who visit the park.
"Benches cost around £500 each, so this money has been a huge help and a step towards us completing the maintenance we hope to do."

Hide AdRossalyn volunteers to maintain the park along with six other members of the community, all of whom are in their late 60s to 70s.
The Friends group was formed in 2017, and has since reformed the park to maintain its play area, and install a dementia-friendly garden with brightly coloured fences and flowers.
"It's fantastic that we have raised such a huge amount in just six months," Rossalyn continued.
"Hopefully before October we will be able to raise even more, to potentially install some new play equipment for the children as well."
