An outspoken politician and unforgettable Strictly Come Dancing contestant will be telling tales at a Q&A event.

Ann Widdecombe divided opinion as both a Conservative politician and a contestant on the BBC dancing show.

Now the politician-turned-novelist is set to feature in an event at Lowther Pavilion, Lytham, telling about experiences of life and her career at a book-signing and Q&A.

The event takes place on Thursday, December 11, at 7.30pm.

Ms Widdecombe famously visited everyone prison in the country as minister of state for prisons in John Major’s government.

After retiring from politics she took up writing, with her latest book, The Dancing Detective, available for signings at the event.
