Deserving youngsters with the cast of the panto Dick Whittington at Fylde Youth Salute 2012

THE Express today launches its Fylde Youth Salute.

It’s the chance for families, friends, neighbours, schools and youth groups to pay tribute to the area’s deserving children by nominating them for a very special Christmas present.

The young citizens, each accompanied by a partner, will be our VIP guests at the pantomine Mother Goose at Lowther Pavilion on Sunday, December 15, when there will be festive treats galore.

On a memorable day out, which will be attended by Mayor of Fylde Coun Linda Nulty, our winners will enjoy pre-show refreshments and entertainment and meet the panto stars.

This search for our outstanding young people, in association with Fylde Council and the panto production company Pendle Productions, is now in its fourth year.

The inspiring youngsters we are looking to honour could have demonstrated exceptional courage and maturity beyond their years, excelled on the sports field or the stage, shown a heart of gold as a good neighbour or helped a charitable group. Nominations are open to all under 18, who live within the borough.

If you know someone who deserves recognition, all you have to do is write in the reason why, with your contact details and those of the nominee.

Send nominations to: Fylde Youth Salute Award, The Editor, Lytham St Annes Express, Avroe House, Avroe Crescent, Blackpool, FY4 2DP or e-mail news@lsaexpress.co.uk.

Closing date for nominations will be Wednesday, December 4.
