Two 13-year-old girls suffered minor injuries after a car accident in St Annes.

Police, ambulance and fire crews were called to the incident on North Promenade around 10pm on Tuesday.

An orange Fiat had collided with a parked black Suzuki car leaving one girl trapped.

Two fire crews from St Annes Fire Station used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the side of the Fiat and free the girl.

She was put on a medical board and taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

The other 13-year-old girl was also taken to hospital as a precaution. The male driver of the Fiat suffered no injuries.
