Police say the thieves struck while the victim, a 34-year-old woman, was distracted.

They then took the items from the pram before making off undetected.

The incident took place between 3.50pm and 4.30pm on Monday on South Promenade.

Officers have now released two grainy CCTV images in a bid to identify a man and a woman seen nearby.

A Lancashire Police spokesman said: “The purse has been taken from a pram while the victim was distracted nearby.”

Anyone who recognises the people pictured above is asked to call police on 101, quoting crime number WA1510344.
