ST ANNES is the best place in the world to live, according to residents.
Anyone looking to move house should take a look at the jewel in the crown of the Fylde coast.
The subtle mix of historic, luxurious properties and up-market new apartments make it an ideal location for people of all ages.
With clean, fresh air on the promenade, the recently refurbished town centre and plans to revamp historic Ashton Gardens with a lottery grant, St Annes is going from strength to strength.
Loraine Farrar, a local hairdresser – Coun John Prestwich's daughter – is a firm supporter of St Annes.
She told the Express: "I was born in St Annes, but moved away because of school and my father's job. I later returned to St Annes due to my friends and family, who live nearby.
"I simply enjoy living here, I feel that the whole of St Annes is a great place collectively.
"It is a good, positive place for all ages.
"I particularly like the clean, fresh air feel of the Promenade."
She freely admits she cannot think of a single thing she does not like about St Annes.
She believes the future is bright for the town.
"As long as they keep St Annes a family orientated town, the future will remain positive," added Lorraine. "It has a very modern centre and square.
"St Annes just needs to maintain a feeling of tradition and pride."
