CHAIRMAN Dai Davis has admitted that Kirkham and Wesham's change of name to AFC Fylde is not the end for the club, but the start of the beginning.

Davis, who is in his 17th season as boss at the helm of the recent FA Vase winners, was speaking on the night his side announced their player of the year awards.
He added: "I'd like to pay tribute to manager Mick Fuller – he's been like a breath of fresh air through this club in the past 15 years.
"I never thought then that we would go on to win a final at Wembley. It's been a dream come true for all of us recently and long may the success continue."
The club will go to the upcoming Annual General meeting of the North West Counties League in a couple of weeks and look to have their new name of AFC Fylde ratified in time for the new season, which is expected to kick-off at Kellamergh Park on the second Saturday in August.
"Defender Phil Thompson and striker Mark Wane were jointly nominated by their fellow team members as the club's Players of the Year.
Manager Mick Fuller later nominated Wane as his Player of the Year saying: "Waney never gives me any trouble. He goes about his job, quietly and efficiently and always gives me and the team 100 per cent every time, on the field and in training.
"He is a model professional and you have to remember too that these lads all have jobs to go to as well."
While Wane didn't manage to make it a hat-trick of awards at the clubs get together, Wembley Man of the Match Sean Paterson scooped the Top Goalscorer of the Year award by bagging 28 goals in his first season at the club.
