The game of the day in the Blackpool and Fylde Sunday Football Alliance came in the Berrys Beds Divisional Cup quarter-finals, in which Blackhurst Budd beat premier division rivals A&P Autos 5-0.

Blackhurst put in their best performance of the season despite playing with a depleted side as goals from Danny Morris (2), Gary Pett (2) and Liam Frend eased them through.

In the other tie, AFC Additions progressed as Ashley Robinson scored four in their 6-2 win against Eurotech.

Nathan Hine and Kyle Thomas were also on target, while and Matty Graffin and Dillon Conlon replied for Eurotech.

In the Division One cup, leaders The Shovels scraped through with a last-minute Kurtis Trinder strike to seal their 3-2 win over AFC Jewsons. Paul Gaskell scored a brace as did Sam Bannister for Jewsons before Trinder’s last-gasp winner.

Anchorsholme also edged out higher-placed opposition as Scott Thompson scored the only goal of the game in their 1-0 win over Athletico Tijuana.

There was a hat-trick for Craig Harding as Bloomfield Brewhouse beat The New Albert 6-1.

Ben Perry-Acton, Ryan Blaney and Simon Hickey completed scoring, while Tom Docherty replied.

There were no shocks in the Division Two Cup as The Bridge beat Up-Rite Scaffolding 3-0 thanks to a Connor Riley brace and a goal from Jason Nuttall.

Kenny Cram scored two in Broomheads Estate Agency’s 4-1 win against The Links, with further goals coming from Jordan Finlayson and an own goal.

Callum Musgrove, Jordan Bullen, Michael Crossland and Stephen Caldwell gave Albion a 4-0 win over Metrostars.

In the Bathroom Solutions Premier Division, The Saddle saw their title hopes dwindle as they lost 4-3 at Appletree Finance.

Luke Robinson led the way with a hat-trick, while Connor Williams also scored. Matt Cassidy, Jordan Spedding and Jarred Bain replied.

The only game in the First Division saw bottom side Highfield Social leapfrog Chris Allen Garages with a stunning 6-0 win courtesy of a brace each for Richard Baldwin and Peter Clarkson, plus further goals from Calvin Ross and Ryan Harrison.

Division Two leaders BES Utilities took advantage of cup games to extend their lead to 13 points as Corey Harrison’s hat-trick set them up for a 5-2 win at Highlands.

Chris Evans and Lee Grundy also scored, and Chris Jackson and Brandon Prestwich replied.

Lane Ends pipped Kirkham Town 2-1 thanks to goals from Steven Turner and Adam Potter, with Guillermo Marchant replying.

Stuart Hammond scored for Marshall Court and Ben Johnson for The George as they drew 1-1.

Blackpool Wren Rovers reduced the gap at the top of the West Lancashire League premier division with an impressive 9-1 win at home to Lostock St Gerards.

Gary Pett led the way with a four-goal haul and Danny Morris netted a hat-trick.

Rovers led 4-1 at half-time, Pett and Morris bagging two each and Tom Ince netting Lostock’s sole goal.

Pett added another two at the start of the second half, while Morris scored his third and goals by Nick Corless and Max Landless rounded off the win.

Garstang did Wrens a favour by beating leaders Longridge Town 2-1, which leaves Rovers just two points behind with a game in hand.

David Jack gave Garstang the lead in the seventh minute, with Alan Coar adding a second just before half-time.

Longridge hit back through Brad Carsley just before the hour but the hosts held on for a vital win, which came on the back of a 2-2 draw in midweek against Southport Hesketh.

Southport raced into an early lead through Simon Hill but Garstang levelled through Jonny Hothersall.

John O’Brien struck to give the visitors the lead for the second time but David Jack responded with just five minutes to go to hand Garstang a point.

Thornton Cleveleys went down to a disappointing 4-1 defeat at Fulwood Amateurs, despite taking the lead courtesy of George McAuley’s goal.

But the hosts ran in four goals without reply, three of them coming from Mitch Newsham and other via Dan Parkinson.

In Division One, Wyre Villa went down to a 2-0 defeat at Burscough Richmond, whose goals came in the space of a minute through Jordan Lorde and James Hanson.

The result sees Wyre Villa remain 11th in the 15-team division.

Lytham Town, who sit just one spot above them, lost 3-1 at home to bottom club GSK Ulverston Rangers, whose goals came from Andrew Whiteford (2) and Chris Bolton.

Poulton were not in action but remain top of the table by four points ,having played six more matches than closest rivals Haslingden St Mary’s.

Poulton have missed out on a place in the West Lancashire League’s Presidents Cup final after losing their semi-final on penalties.

Hawcoat Park won the shoot-out 3-2 after Wednesday’s goalless draw at Garstang FC.

The Cumbrians will face Haslingden St Mary’s in the final at Charnock Richard on Tuesday week.

The Presidents Cup is the knockout competition for WLL first division clubs.
